Is $40 Too Much to Spend On a Pillow?
I was in Target a couple days ago looking at pillows. I squeezed and fluffed so many of them that I started to feel overwhelmed and couldn't decide on one. Feeling defeated, I gave up and was on my way out of the aisle. That's when I saw the Serta Supreme Memory Foam pillow. It felt wonderful and not foam-like at all, but with a price tag of $40, I left without buying it.
Now I can't stop thinking about that pillow. What if it's the most comfortable pillow I'll ever own? I've always been a two pillow sleeper, but now that I can actually breathe like a normal person, I don't think I need the added height of an extra pillow anymore. Does that make it ok to spend such an excessive amount on only one bed pillow? I went back to Target today with the intention of buying it and testing it out. I left with pink nail polish for my next DIY pedicure instead. I need your help! Should I buy the pillow and find out what's so supreme about it?

nah, indulge. you have a cat. happy belated mother's day. besides, life's too short for a bad pillow. you would spend $40 on jeans and those cover your "can". You should spend at least that much to cushion your "lid".

I have a memory foam pillow and LOVE it. I even travel with it because I can't stand sleeping on a normal pillow anymore. I paid about $40 for it.. but it was SO worth it!
I say go for it! I've paid more for a pillow. :) Plus, you have a new breathing situation you need to reward yourself!!
I say go for it! If it haunts you after you leave the store you have to go back and buy it. That's my shoe rule but I think it works for anything!
I like Christine's rule! Sometimes you just have to indulge - and for the sake of good sleep - I'd say its worth it!
