In Case You Missed It

New Kids On the Block performed together for the first time in 15 years Friday on the Today Show! They started out the show with a mix song that included their old hits like Step by Step, Hangin' Tough, Please Don't Go Girl and The Right Stuff. Their next song was Summertime, their new single. I was amazed that the entire crowd seemed to know all the lyrics since the song was just released. Their last song was another old one, Tonight. If you missed it, click here, here and here to watch.

I know it should seem weird to watch 5 grown men from an old boy band sing and dance on stage together, but I think I speak for all of us when I say that they can do whatever they want and their old fans will eat it up. I mean, just look at the crowd while they're performing. It's full of people in their 20's and 30's screaming their names, jumping, dancing and singing along. We're definitely some of the most loyal fans!

Their website has been updated with more tour dates. They are coming to Detroit October 25! The shows are selling out within minutes and I really hope I'm able to get tickets! Who else is planning on getting tickets to the Detroit show or elsewhere?

I'm not sure how I managed to not be a NKOTB fan... I'm mean, I'm the perfect age for it... and I had friends that were INSANE over them. Not sure how I didn't get that way. Is there anyone else out there that feels that way?

I was the ABSOLUTE biggest NKOTB fan. My parents still have boxes of memorabilia. Have you found someone to go with you? I just sent out an email to a bunch of girls here to see if anyone is interested. They are playing at the Broomfield Event Center which is like 2 miles from my house! I gotta go! :)

I wasn't sold until Joey broke out in Please Don't Go Girl!! I missed it live. Darn it! I kept chuckling and then giggling like a little school girl. Who knew they would still be so energetic? Ok Im sold- I have to go :)

I wasn't a New Kids fan either! I am afraid I was afraid my older brothers would call me a dork! (little did I know, they did anyways! ha)

have fun at the show....

OMG Monica... Thank you thank you THANK YOU for posting those links to the performances! You are SO RIGHT. They can do anything they want and we will all eat it up. A 2nd career, maybe not... but we will sure have fun going to one more concert! They are doing some shows in TX but it will just be a matter of me finding someone who wants to go with me! Brian is not too excited about the idea (I'm sure Kev can relate to that)!

I can't wait to find out if you are able to get tickets for us. So excited I'm moving to detroit just in time. You better not fail us.
